Do Humor Styles of Patients Affect Their Intensive Care Experiences?

The study was conducted in order to examine the correlation between humor styles of patients and their intensive care experiences. This descriptive correlational design. population consisted who were treated general surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, organ transplantation units a university hospital. Its sample 204 patients. data collected using Personal Information Form prepared by researchers, Humor Styles Questionnaire, Intensive Care Experience Questionnaire. statistics, independent samples t test, One Way ANOVA, post-hoc tests, Correlation analysis Cronbach's Alpha reliability test used assess data. In study, it found that mostly affiliative aggressive style they had positive experience. Additionally, there significant weak subscale “satisfaction with care” ICEQ negative subscales “frightening experiences” “recall experience”. As result observed less pessimistic experience, remembered experiences less, satisfied provided unit.
